Musical Poster

The musical Cabaret is all about showmanship distracting from the looming threat of World War II. With many of the musical numbers taking place on the Kit Kat Klub stage, I wanted the poster to feel like an introduction to any one of them. With a bright spotlight in the center and a piece of the opening overture at the top, I felt that a clean setting of the typography would be enough to intrigue audiences to the musical.

Promotional Poster

Art64 is a bracket-style painting tournament local to Wauwatosa, WI. The event starts with 64 artists who paint live over the course of the two-day event in several rounds of competition. I wanted to make sure the bracket was represented in the promotional poster, as well as using large brush textures to represent the painting aspect. This poster was designed to keep a potential series in mind, allowing for several color and photo designs to promote the event.

Chicago the Musical

Musical Poster

Set in the 1920s, the musical Chicago is beloved by many both on the stage and on the big screen. The inspiration for this poster series was the iconic Cell Block Tango with each poster representing a different verse of the song. I felt that the well-known lyrics didn’t need supporting imagery and that large, bold typography would convey the feeling best.
